inna gertsberg, art director, toronto illustrator

Welcome to my gallery.

I call this website of my work as an illustrator and art director “gallery” because it’s where I share my art — even though the word “art” is hardly ever used in the cold world of commercial illustration. And don’t get me started on Google’s SEO, which requires that I fill this page with terms like illustrator and freelance illustrator until it has no soul.

Anyway. I see the internet as the world’s largest museum filled with gazillions of galleries, and I’m really glad that you found your way to mine.

I do all kinds of art and illustration. I imagine and illustrate props that come to life in a Nature Valley commercial, and develop dramatic concept boards for IKEA’s brand anthem. I design characters that live in the magical world of Allwhere for Nokia’s global ad campaign (times two). I do storyboards and mood boards, editorial illustrations and murals. I have created an army of monsters in my Draw Me A Monster project, which lead to my partnership with the Toronto District School Board. When I am not working with advertising agencies or book publishers, I paint. My ink and watercolour paintings live in many homes around the world.

After studying fine art and graphic design since age 7, I can draw pretty much anything. But my real superpower is telling a good visual story. My work makes people feel feelings they never knew they had.

If you are looking for an art director, illustrator or a concept board artist; or if you would like your own art piece, let’s connect.
